Facebook is still relevant

So it seems that most people I know have shown a disinterest in facebooking and a gaining interest in twitter because it seems more "productive". More friends of mine say that Facebook content is becoming less valuable to them. Also in my personal opinion, I could care less about some football team sucking it up or breaking new records. I say all of this to maybe peak your interest and possibly share similar negative feelings for Facebook.

Here's where I think Facebook excels over other Social platforms. It gives your peers and acquaintances a chance to express their opinion on issues or questions that you propose.

For example, as being engaged and now needing things like appliances, furniture, moving boxes, bigger vehicles for moving, etc. I have found that I get a shocking amount of responses when I ask questions on Facebook rather than when I make statements.

Even more, it's beneficial for you as the initiator in receiving mostly productive answers. Sure you will always have your friends who only want to be witty and hilarious and will posted non-pertinent responses.

So in a nutshell Facebook can be used to gain social media "clout" by enabling people to share their thoughts as you direct them by your questions as a status.
